Music at AAECS!
All students learn the basics of rhythm, singing, playing instruments such recorders or bucket drums, and beginning to read music in their music classes, every year.
Instrumental Music
Instrumental Music is optional for students in grades 3-5. Arts Academy instruments are available for students at no cost to families. Students learn wind instruments such as flute, trumpet, alto saxophone and clarinet. They may also select from percussion or string instruments, including violin, cello, viola or base.

The Plant Parts Song with Mr. Rickert!
First grade has been learning about the parts and life cycle of a plant in science class. Mrs. Wardle’s class, along with Mr. Rickert in Music Enrichment, learned a song about the plant parts, and what they do for the plant.

3rd Grade Music & Science Arts Enrichment with Mr. Rickert!
For music & science enrichment, Miss Knerr's class is using simple machines to make musical instruments. The creativity is flowing in Room 3C! Simple Machines Concert coming soon!

4th Grade Bucket Drumming with Miss Heydt!
Nice weather outside = perfect stage for bucket drumming! Students practice keeping a beat while learning basic percussion skills on our bucket drums!
