Founded by Tom Lubben, CEO of TLC Arts, our doors first opened in August of 2015. Located in beautiful downtown Allentown, our students are within walking distance for field trips to Allentown Symphony Hall and the Allentown Art Museum. We believe exposure to the arts from a very young age is essential in developing children's natural sense of curiosity and creativity. Integrating the arts into our academic program only further enhances their ability to grasp new concepts, apply new skills and to make connections across content areas. In January of 2019, we were accepted as a candidate for Middle States Accreditation. The accreditation process will guide us through further curriculum and program development while ensuring all members of our school community have a voice in making the Arts Academy Elementary Charter School the best choice for a public, arts-infused elementary education.
